Acording this website it says a guy like me hired in 2016 wont upgrade until ....."beyond 2030"
Considering my age, probably should relook going to Spirit

That could very well be the case. If hired in 2016 you would realistically be waiting on another aircraft order to upgrade. 8 captains per airplane seems to be the generally accepted number for our current staffing model. based on 144 airframes in 2021 that's 1152ish captains. The last vacancy has over 1100 pilots. Another thing to consider is the company will be going after our inefficiencies in the next contract so that 8 captain per plane could be high which would add to the upgrade time as well.
Even in full context that was a ridiculous statement.
I would still contest using a loud crowded crew room as a "classroom". This MEC should have a little chat with the POI, followed by an ASAP, followed by a press release. Needing to rent a room for individuals to stare at an ipad for 2 days would surely put a dent in all the savings.

Can someone please provide the link for the new Spirit Pilot Message Board. Thought I saw it in this thread a while back, but couldn't locate it. Thanks!

The processing times are completely unacceptable. The whole thing freezes when someone puts in for floating vacation because it needs to be manually done by a scheduler. I'm also quite sure there is a networking bottleneck too because we can have long processing times outside the first day of DOT. As we know all things IT at spirit are a disaster. Flight paperwork anyone? Ad it to the contract list. Where's my next survey?
You union guys should stop playing politics, stop your CYA games, and do your job. Pole etty is only interested in covering for his proxy the Negotiator. The negotiator wrote a bad LOA. DP knows it.
If this LOA was a good deal, you union'rs would've signed it into law. It's a loser and you guys know it DP's quoted statement proves it. Nothing else needed fo be quoted. He said it all with that one sentence.
