Pro Tip of the day
There is ZERO requirement to “check-in online” for your DH.
idk what’s up with these gate agents in FLL…
I’ve notice other ones at other stations are trying to say this too.
It’s like “am I checked-in??”…“I’m checking-in right now bro…”

I nealy got left behind in. I was day dreaming in the crew room and realised I had about 20 minutes to departure and forgot to 'check-in.' Gate agent kept clearing standby's on while I stood there at the gate. They eventually gave me a seat at the back in a middle seat. Luckily the FA recognised my name on the crew list and had a BFS open.
Theres no requirement to check in but it makes things a lot easier. Same as the report time bot call while being on reserve.

Sit there on hold with css and watch the plane push, the issue will get fixed real quick. I'm personally done doing others jobs or going out of my way unless it's a passenger. The passengers don't deserve **** treatment. Other employees, contractors, get equal treatment of what they give. For instance advised one day by a ramper to disconnect the ground air myself. I laughed and stopped boarding. Supervisor fixed the issue and quickly. Forms not ledgeable, get me another one, it'll be in the delay report. Stop wasting time Emailing people, **** doesn't get fixed until it affects the operation.
The cavet is you had better be correct or you're toast.

I check in, at my shop anyway it lets me pick a different seat, sometimes there's one available that I like better than the one assigned.
Per CBA they can't put us in the back, but I'll move myself there to get an aisle seat or an open row. Also friendly gate agents can upgrade us, so it doesn't hurt to make their life easy.
Also if I'm late for some reason, at least they know I'm coming.
