Oh I know UAL pilots are great people to work with, I was just showing that clown how ridiculous he sounds saying that he needs convincing about NK pilots.

Lots of friends at UAL, great group

Well not from the class pictures we get every week but I'm sure you know more than me - lol. Playah

Yup. 90% of the class was WM. All of the "DEI" had a few k hours left seat. Only low timers were WM.

That's not DEI, that's nepotism.

Different issue. Not desireable any more so or less so than DEI. Not too many folks around here advocating for nepotism.

IIRC AA actually had a policy at one point that basically stated you couldn't get hired there if a relative already worked for them. Not sure if that was just within flight ops or company wide.

when was that? In the 10+ years I’ve been here it was a huge HELP to have family here. Then for a year or two they were not accepting resumes walked into the chiefs. But it was certainly never a hindrance. Even nepo babies attempting to jump the flow were only briefly held up at the beginning of the big hiring wave

DL had the same policy before 9/11. I think AA was just parent/kid but I think DL included siblings.

I fail to see what any of this DEI nonsense has to do with the fact that Miatas are not sports cars....

I get that they are not the same, but the whole uproar about unqualified and dangerous outcries on here about DEI hires are absolutely the same.

P.S.: To rick777

What is the culture at Alaska about Nep or DEI?

HAL is heavy minority by demo and highest female percentage historically, including credited for having the first all female crew. Nepotisms has been a huge staple of this place….
