Honestly I did a facepalm when I read that jetblue said out loud that they were going to eliminate the ULCC business model.
AS on the other hand has been all about preserving brand, culture, and jobs at the acquired carrier. I'm not ready to call it genius, but they at least learned from the mistakes of others.

well, in this merger, nothing was taken from the market. in our merger, you were stripping the largest ULCC away from all the poors. Now this merger actually helps us, especially since we are changing our business model to more align with a LCC. think of it as a good thing for a future merger for us. now we know the blueprint we need to copy to get this thing approved in this regulatory environment.
This guys gets it. We did not want them to contest the Alaska merger too.

We named ourselves an “ULCC,” not like this is some sort of DOT classification. We made it up.
The company is never going to come out and say “we are now now not the cheapest and we no longer want to attract price sensitive passengers”.
Just because a few rows of seats will get a free bottle of water and a checked or carry on bag, doesn’t all the sudden make us a different product. The majority of our seats will still be as we know it

The case was specifically JB/NK as it was written. They could have rewritten the merger slightly differently the very next day and the DOJ would’ve had to contest it all over again. This is why the DOJ should have just told us what concessions they wanted to drop the case instead of just saying no no no.

Has anyone written the Harris campaign and asked her stance on putting thousands of union members out of work because of the Biden DOJ contesting a merger that had to happen?
If and when Spirit ceases to exist without a merger it will have been completely Biden/Harris’ fault.
I’m interested to know the candidate’s opinion on that.

How about blame your CEO who bragged about his "path to profitability" in court and said Spirit is not a distressed carrier. If you read the ruling you see that was a big thing in his argument against the merger.

From my experience talking to the young folk at work the three biggest concerns regarding a GOP victory is:
-Deep integration of the Christian religion into government, legislation and schools
-Regulating local, state and federal government in a way that makes it almost impossible for people affiliated with another party to ever get a state or federal job.
-Abortion rights
-Internment camps for immigrants
Seems like young people's priorities are elsewhere and not on mergers. At least the people I've listened to.
-Deep integration of the Christian religion into government, legislation and schools
-Regulating local, state and federal government in a way that makes it almost impossible for people affiliated with another party to ever get a state or federal job.

Shocker these pilots even have time to express concern about “internment camps for immigrants” as a chief concern; they are usually crying about how unfair their student loans are and how they can’t afford a house like their “boomer” captains
Especially considering they have been in the airlines for “4 whole years”

Fiction CAN be fun. This is a list of some of the most ridiculous, made up "boogey man" propaganda points I've seen in a while. It's honestly not surprising, though, as the left display cult-like tendencies, and believe anything they're told to.
