Thanks. Not easy to walk after almost a decade in the left seat. Should have done it earlier, but still feel it was the right move....

Nobody is taking it for granted, so stop making an issue where it isn’t.

DAL ALPA is helping fellow union pilots out, it’s appreciated. Some UAL and DAL guys then decided to get into a back and forth on here about it, and it gets conflated to be a NK not being grateful thing. And then you the Mod comes on here and sprinkles a little more “out of context” into the stew.

I literally said all NK pilots are grateful. Stop making it an issue.

I thought Delta had one year-ish upgrade ?

you’ve been around long enough to know that the upgrade time of someone awarded left seat today is not the upgrade time for someone hired today

Exactly, last year wasn’t the time for a 12 year CA to leave, now it’s time to leave. Nothing to regret, it’s the career we chose

Has it not been established that our economy is largely fueled by immigrants doing many of the labor intensive jobs keeping the wheels moving?

Contrast this to Japan, Korea, China, and much of the rest of the western world who, due to very restrictive immigration systems, can’t staff their labor needs to take care of aging populations due to low birth rates.

I think robust immigration from easily integrated developing world populations is our greatest cultural and economic strength.

JMHO.

There’s more people dying than being born in most of the US now. I read somewhere by about 2040 it’s expected that all of the US will be like that with current birth rates. Only way the future U.S population will grow is with immigrants, not Americans. I’m sure AI will decimate middle class jobs too. Interesting times ahead.

That's what happens when people fight to destroy the values of the nuclear family.
