Rumor out on the line is they are wanting to make another run in MIA with international flights.

Grow SFL? Where the labor force moves in slow motion and the wx always sucks and all roads lead through JAX center? GENIUS!!

My guess is also much of the flying in the other bases will remain to a large extent but then be integrated into FLL pairings. Even more genius. What the hell was the point of opening EWR?

who’s got the numbers? Why wait til tomorrow??

Is there an official confirmation that Spirit has taken on the consulting group? Google brings up nothing and SEC filings are the same.

The current staffing levels at this airline make no sense. FLL has about 3,000 montly departures while DTW/EWR/ORD/IAH/DFW/ATL each have around 1,000, so 3x the departures. Yet FLL has almost 5x more pilots than each of these bases. MCO has about 2,000 departures a month but has 2.5x more pilots than those bases. It seems that the direction they want to go is move all the pilots to Florida (and some in Vegas) and have them overnight in our other "focus cities". Makes a lot of sense when a Florida crew is stuck due to weather, and the LGA turn out of DTW was built into one of their trips.

I agree, wish he’d post more.

Which is exactly why they started opening other bases and wider trip mix to mitigate mega meltdowns of yesteryear

Well that’s the thing, if we had those planes flying, we would be losing even more money. It’s the major reason the Pratt payments to NK have been very small as we ground planes. We can’t show damages that if we had those planes, we would be profitable.

Ted likes to use the PW excuse as a shiny object to distract from the real fact that the product isn’t making money. But for him, he continues to blame PW, weather and ATC.

exactly. Furloughs are for Pratt issues. The finances are 100% spirits own doing. Not sure why we have people thinking all would be fine if it weren’t for Patt. Pratt has nothing to do with why we are bankrupt
