Maybe sometimes try and have a constructive discussion? I try it occasionally it seems to be useful.
I’m a local and I want commutable trips as well. What about contract language that pays extra for starting at 5 am or finishing after midnight?

What specific work rules have I mentioned that "make everything great for locals" only? Surely you've read our contract. Tell me, what specific rules does spirit have that JB doesn't that benefits commuters? Industry standard is min calendar day and the "sky is falling" scare tactics on that are not an argument at least not a good one. Or is NK and B6 the only groups with commuters? Or would you rather go on being dramatic?

I didn't say there was a specific rule. I said they way you were addressing people and the way you were dismissing the concerns of commuters (or something to that affect).

You said, among other things :"We all know you have to commute as it is all you ever seem to talk about, but that sounds like a YOU problem."

That's the problem of roughly half of JB's 4800 pilots, and many of your fellow pilots. So it's a "many of us" problem, and not a him problem. We don't all want to live in Florida or one of the ~10 bases the company has. Sorry, that's not how this industry, or many of the combined 8+ THOUSAND of your fellow B6+NK pilots work.

There's no reason we can't include a min daily and min duty period guarantee.

Remember, the merger doesn't happen w/out a JCBA. If the new B6/NK wants to compete with the legacies, and stop hemorrhaging pilots to them, they have to make the new contract attractive over and above what the legacies offer.

Completely agree. Still need commutability protections to protect from unintended consequences, and those should be base by base based on each bases preferences annually.

Probably the way to go...

All that matters? No. The point is you people who want to live in Florida or one of the other ~10 bases aren't "all the matters" either, and commuting isn't a "him" problem, it's "a dang lot of us" problem. Sweety.

I told you that I am sorry and that you are super super special! I'm not sure what else to do since you don't have anything real to add other than tears and your drama queen antics.

You're making a lot of noise about this, and for good reason, but I can tell you that among the NK pilot group you won't find many in favor of using negotiating capital to improve commutability. It's just not going to happen as most of our commuters are leaving or have already left for the legacies. I know from experience that the FLL and MCO domiciles are overwhelming local. We used to have quite a few commuting from ATL and IAH, and then the company magically opened domiciles in those two cities in a desperate plea to stop the bleeding.
