If they do as good a job at blocking mergers as blocking spy balloons, I’d say we’re good.

As freaked out as pilots get over a poorly written article with no substantive facts, just that a handful of staffers say their department may file a lawsuit, it really doesn’t surprise me that 69% were spooked into voting for this garbage TA.

Hawaiian TA…

I imagine every morning as you sit in front of the mirror putting on the clown makeup you recite your affirmations that you definitely got “free money” with “almost no loss of qol” and “they probably wouldn’t have come back to the table quickly” and we will definitely “get more bites at the apple”…. and then you check your email to see if American has responded to your application.

That’s essentially JB money in 2024. Would your expectation be that we are not meeting or most likely exceeding those numbers in a JCBA in 2025? Remember JB management needs a JCBA. The JetBlue pilots also already have legacy snap up language now.

Totally. Why get paid that now (like every other major) when we could get paid that (maybe) 2-3 years from now.

I guess then it comes down to if you think Ted and John were prepared to pay that now or string us along like usual. They needed something no doubt. Just a matter of how high they were willing to go and how long they were willing to take it. We can all debate that but fact is none of us actually know.

See but we do know. You don’t put a $463 million dollar deal on the table months before the amendable date and not have a counter offer ready when it gets rejected.

If the strategy was to “string us along” they wouldn’t have made that initial $463 million dollar offer…. they would have just strung us along.
