Default ATP still a requirement?

I've got my ATP-CTP written complete and thought I read somewhere that Spirit was no longer requiring the practical to be complete. Or am I mis-remembering? tia!

Spirit doesn’t require an ATP via approved partners / flight schools.

I thought I saw an article saying they got rid of Unrestricted ATP requirement but I can’t find it. it’s still listed on career website as required.

I could not find anything to accurately answer your question. It seems some flight schools offer a transition agreement from CFI to Spirit FO assuming you complete the ATP-CTP course and a Jet Transition course. I would reach out to a recruiter if you have their information and ask them instead of APC. Others on here will just give you a hard time, unfortunately, asking questions like this one.

If it helps anyone here, ATP not required only the CTP course and written completed will qualify for phone interview.

Heard mixed things about people being offered interviews without atp. Some get one. Some are told to contact back when they’ve got it. Don’t think people are really asking about an interview though. Point is when you get the cjo and class date what do they expect you to show up day one with. I think others are right in that you won’t get a class date without the atp unless you’re from one of the partnered programs. I see them lowering their mins agin though.

Gotcha. For me it may have been my prior jet time then. I was told the examiners now have the authority to give the ATP at the type ride so I was fine.

They could drop the unrestricted requirement. Start taking those with rATP or just broadly take any cfi meeting atp requirements.

Default ATP

You have to have the ATP/CTP course completed and meet the ATP minimum hours requirement to be eligible to attend day one. You can then do your ATP check ride on the type rating flight at the end of training.
