Cheapest Cadillac Sedan is about $40,000. Narrowbody captains used to have that equivalent salary per month. We should be making around $480 per hour.

And that’s fine but we need to stop thinking like discount airline guy with a Hyundai even if that makes us happy. It’s time to put some ego into it and start thinking like a Major big swinging dick airline pilot that that cashes fat stacks and buys Ferraris. Even if you’re happy in your Hyundai it’s time to make Ferrari money.

Most very high earners bring an incredible amount of ego to their negotiations. It’s time we start acting the same.

Airline pilots are trained to be rational thinkers and risk averse. It’s time we check that at the door because it’s being taken advantage of
