We had industry non-standard stuff when we negotiated our first CBA like getting paid for PTO sellback each month. That was a great deal and offered lots of flexibility but our union told us it was chopped because it would be hard to justify since it was an outlier in the industry. You guys have leverage because you still have a vote. We will have the most leverage we'll have in our career because our CBA requires a JCBA for the company to enjoy the benefits of the combined companies. The key is to have solid communication and make sure our combined NC and MEC don't settle.
That's not my worry. My assumption is 100% that red green is dead. My concern is that the NC clearly stated in this negotiation that red green was a non-starter. I interpret that as leaving money on the table given the assumption that red green will be a company non-starter. We aren't going to get an SLI boost from it. We're just going to lose it and we are also losing seniority. I came to Spirit because I wanted the option of not working. Im gonna be butthurt about losing this for the rest of my career.

Just like pbs was a “nonstarter” last time and we see how well that went. We will lose red/green and drop to 0 unless we grow a backbone and don’t follow the doom and gloom that the mec spreads.
