congrats on making it to your first airline, you know nothing. Read my last reply to you, it’s not about TOP RATES. It’s about everything else in between. Gap between year 7 and 12 at AK is $14. Gap between year 7 and 12 in this NK deal is almost $29. Go back to school

If you all really think NK and JB management would give you the rates they are targeting in the JCBA now instead of waiting for actual JCBA negotiations. If you think NK management gives a flying … if the rates are rejected they will keep rates as rates are and just wait and push to DOJ with a chapter 11 airline skeleton (better argument to DOJ anyways) of an airline going concern merger on the eve of a near closure airline and negotiate the JCBA at that point you are fools. You all had absolute leverage to get higher rates to try to retain talent but it what world would JB management want you to have DL rates BEFORE almost immediately being forced into JCBA negations why not let it dry up on the vine and try to absorb what is left in 2 years?

What do you think is the percentage of 12 year captains here at Spirit is? Who cares that they are making Alaska rates by year 12. Everyone else gets screwed and your fine with that? We have a very young/jr group here. Not only does it screw us, but sets a precedence industry wide. We have to vote this nonsense down and send a message that we aren't 2nd rate pilots.

Go for it, you have a vote. Just don’t be surprised when you’re making the least in the 121 industry for the next two years instead of more than any other LCC (minus southwest if you count them). I’ve said it before, but with a JCBA and a merger in the very near future, we are just in a different place than a lot of these airlines, and the union is trying to balance time and money.

I'm guessing since you don't work here and haven't been following along so I'll fill you in. These negotiations have been ongoing before our current CBA was even amendable so clearly the company wants something done. Otherwise they wouldn't even be at the table right now since they don't have to be.
but who cares vote it down maybe you all will get everything you want and I hope you do but I don’t really see it working out that way…
i just don’t see why you wouldn’t take the win and hold them to the fire for JCBA?
