We should not have to bargain for the ability to get ahold of the company in timely manner no matter what’s going on with the weather or ATC.
True. I was referring to using X-list calls as a measurement of properly running a company. I do see some progress with scheduling bots to get locators, call in sick / fatigued etc. There’s obviously a major shortage of humans that make decisions and planning with respect to crews. Sadly, I can’t think of an instance where improvements to the scheduling department will ever be part of negotiations.

“ Love how a 30% raise with more to come is suddenly lowering the bar. Also still comical so many people think we’re the same as delta. We ain’t, and I bet deep down everyone that came here knew this. Then they realized how good of a life we have here most of the time and decided to stay.”

Something -Halon1211 would say

to compare ourselves to Delta would be foolish, but to not compare ourselves to JB would also be foolish. The JB deal is where the problem lies

Yep. It’s not a “blank check” when you know what the number is. Like new information has come to light man.

JetBlue didn’t seem to think we’re in their peer group when determining their “Snap up”.

Presumably, the JCBA will take care of that, and why put NK in the formula if it’s going away altogether?

Still kinda a blank check though when JB’s deal includes a snap up to legacy rates tho yeah?

Even with jb new rates on paper any snap up is a blank check. In 6 mo jb could hypothetically increase pay even further and we would again snap up to those new rates. Say the deal falls through and we go back to renegotiate a whole contract. Over those next few years of negotiation everytime jb increases pay we would be snapping up. That’s the blank check management didn’t want to agree to.

If the merger falls through, there won't be a "next few years" for Spirit. At least according to the union and management's rosey picture of our financial state. I mean that's why we have to accept this industry lagging TA. So snap up won't be an issue.
