Am I all alone on this or is any one else a little perturbed about, training gets their money effectively immediately while improvements for the general populace wait until 2024. Also, I was under the assumption these were targeted negotiations - we had no time for any reserve improvements but there sure was time to make sure Union members got positive space travel, etc, etc...

The more I think about it all, the more it goes from a NO to a HELL NAH !

About 400 times.
And if our only leverage is first year pay something went wrong.
And I would be more likely to vote yes for the TA if first year pay & training pay had been decent, because it would be the right thing for the new guys.
So I am all for the company raising it.
It would send the signal that there's more money they are willing to give us.
Better to vote no, and all off us get something better, but stop crying about first year pay.

Before negotiations the company said they wanted to solve training bottlenecks. You're mad instructors and check airmen are getting an industry sub-standard raise, like you are... ahem we are? When was the last time override was raised for training pilots? My point is you're being divisive. At the end of the day we all get a vote. Are you going to cast yours as a no b/c the training pilots get an $8/hr raise? I'm going to cast mine based on the good of all of us, but to single out training pilots is short sighted. I know you know a training pilot. Call them and tell them that they don't deserve a raise and should be junior manned to training for straight pay.

This is a concessionary contract!! The entire thing reeks of BS. I hope the JB TA exposes that!

Hopefully the JetBlue TA makes ours an easier no vote for some.

I was already a no vote. Now with JB having a TA, I'm a "very no vote". I hope that this makes our MEC reconsider opening the vote on this, or at least comes out and recommends a no vote in light of recent developments.
