TA Reached

Whatever guys. You wanna be the lowest paid pilot in the US, vote yes. I do my part and fill out my questionnaires and salute to the MEC. But no, I refuse to continue to follow this "pathway to parity" that obviously goes through Mordor. My legacy will not be to be a bottom feeder.

We turn this down and Spirit is gonna have to come back soon with a better offer. They’re not worried about the NMB or RLA or anything like that, they are worried about survival.

it’s people like you who are never gonna be satisfied unless were making Delta +10% pay.
with your mentality we would be in negotiations for five years for something that’s never going to happen.
let’s get our pay raise now and get them again when we go for the JCBA.
If we vote no and recall the negotiating committee, then start from scratch negotiating We’re gonna be at it for months or even a year it’s gonna be time for the Jetblue pilot integration anyways.

This. No reason to recall anyone unless they start telling us this is the best we can do and no point going back to the table asking for more.
If we vote no, in particular if we vote resoundingly no, then the MEC gives the NC new marching orders and goes back to work.
I’m not telling anyone how to vote, but if you vote yes for this, do it because you are absolutely sure that’s the best we can get and it’s what you are worth. Don’t vote yes out of fear for what might happen.
Halon’s drivel about giving up money now is exactly the spinelessness the company was hoping for… god forbid we have people with his attitude the next time a work action becomes necessary.

I don't understand how attracting and keeping employees should fall on the shoulders of the pilots.
I understand that some people actually have compassion for those that are working under the burden of no pay or benefits for a year. Any new hire that's smart enough to learn what buttons to push and when to Maxi Pad up for Flow Day should book for a job ASAP that will result in them making millions more over their lifetime, regardless if first year pay was $306.00/hr. they'd still be idiots to give up millions more over a lifetime.
It is not our jobs to keep and retain pilots by giving anything up.
The vast majority of this pilot group are going to be stuck at 12 year pay for decades. It's the job of the corner office guys to keep people. I don't care if they promise in writing, new hires shall sign a document mandating an orgy with Stormy Daniels and Melania Trump if you stay until the merger falls through or goes through.
I don't care if the document mandates that if you quit during month two after IOE for DAL, you get the same date with Stormy and Melania. but the cast from The View has to watch and gets to comment in real time.
Not your job.
If you've got 15-20 years left, (at potentiality Spirit) this should be a solid no. The elephant in the room is JB right? We get no respect from anyone except those that cared we walked the line 12 years ago and should be ashamed in front of any of the Blueshirts , if you, with 20 years left to work, cave to this insult, (in my best Bill Burr voice) you're a cat's vulva just because the all important new hires get paid more for a whole year!
Yay New Hires!

ExactlyThe MEC screwed up. It's on us now. Vote no, send it back to the NC. The leverage we have right now is bigly huge. Let's not waste it, and let's get up to where B6 will be their TA so we can go into the JCBA as equals rather than hanger-ons.

Our leverage is hiring and attrition. United’s leverage is the RLA? Or something else that isn’t as strong, it’s certainly not hiring or attrition. I don’t even know if they’re in mediation, but they don’t have the same leverage we do.
