Ah okay thank you for the insight. Sounds like not only does it need to be a no but a resounding no!

it’s stupid.
Someone has a divorce they need to pay for it sounds like . What you fail to understand that if we vote this in this WILL affect the money down the road via a JCBA because we show that we are weak and willing to take less. Stop thinking of just the here and now. This also effects future bargaining not just with us but all the other carriers. I refuse to bring the rest of our peers down.

with your mentality we would be in negotiations for five years for something that’s never going to happen.

let’s get our pay raise now and get them again when we go for the JCBA.

If we vote no and recall the negotiating committee, then start from scratch negotiating We’re gonna be at it for months or even a year it’s gonna be time for the Jetblue pilot integration anyways.
If we vote this down, do you think the company will find another way to try and get a handle on the attrition/retention problem? IS there even another way besides offering money?

It seems to me this is their way to curb that issue, why would they delay for months or years if we vote it down and attrition continues at the same (or even higher) rate? Obviously they thought something needed to be done, that’s why this only took 3 months…

How long has it been since United turned down its first TA? And are they anywhere closer now?

The NC was working on survey data in a rapidly changing landscape. I did my survey (my lowest I would go was $20 higher than I get in this TA), and I wrote emails as well after the survey. The MEC's job was to stop this and shunt it back to the NC. They failed to read the room.

We have enormous, unprecedented leverage, right now. There's no panic needed here. No need to recall everyone. Vote no, send it back, come back with new numbers. We don't need to restart from scratch, and it's not going to take long.

Getting the numbers we want in the JCBA is going to be easier if we are in parity with B6 when they get their TA. We do not want a big spread going into the JCBA, now is the time to put us in fighting position for the next fight. Vote no, send it back.

And the new offer is getting better according to those over there so it seems they think it was worth it.

How is United’s attrition and retention looking? I don’t have access to their numbers, I only see what the Spirit MEC sends us monthly, and it doesn’t look very good to me. How about you?

Whatever guys. You wanna be the lowest paid pilot in the US, vote yes. I do my part and fill out my questionnaires and salute to the MEC. But no, I refuse to continue to follow this "pathway to parity" that obviously goes through Mordor. My legacy will not be to be a bottom feeder.
