TA Reached

What do you think is the percentage of 12 year captains here at Spirit is? Who cares that they are making Alaska rates by year 12. Everyone else gets screwed and your fine with that? We have a very young/jr group here. Not only does it screw us, but sets a precedence industry wide. We have to vote this nonsense down and send a message that we aren't 2nd rate pilots.

You are a very weak individual.. its sad to watch our society and the male species being transformed into a weak society. We literally got a TA in 3 months AND 3 months ahead of schedule, enough of the "it will take forever to get a better deal" nonsense. We are not negotiating a full CBA, this would involve setting up more meetings with a new proposal. The "F9 provision" that was slipped in which takes leverage away from the rest of the pilot group needs to be removed. That alone should get a no vote. Its funny how a year ago when F9 raised 1st yr pay taking leverage away from the pilot group our NC and LEC reps were saying this is not good for them and we would not want that here.. they said "all pilots get a raise or nothing" its funny how that changed. Now management will raise 1st yr quickly if this gets ratified. Should have a set number for a new hire. The FO scale is very weak, if the goal is to slow attrition, being $25-$30hr behind Alaska wont really slow attrition considering the majority of attrition are the FO's. Still no reason to stay... Ual is opening up bases in MCO/LAS The attrition will get even worse now

United guy here. This POS TA is almost as insulting as ours was. We’re in a much better position now after voting it down. Don’t listen to the Company naysayers, you have much more leverage than you think. Recall and Replace.

Thanks man it seems the vast majority agrees. You guys didn't even make it to a vote right? Enough guys just send in darts so that the MEC got the message?

The Vote did Close after a delay. 94% rejected it and we have recalled the majority of our MEC. The process is ugly but things are looking up

Barely keeps up with Cost of Living
This TA is an insult. I can't believe people here would agree to being the lowest paid pilots in the U.S. The pay rates barely keep up with cost of living. And without even a snap up to JetBlue or someone, this is a disgrace.

I hope you participated in the surveys that went out, because these rates likely reflect what the pilot group asked for. Make sure you actually participate in the vote and don’t just puff your chest on a forum.

with your mentality we would be in negotiations for five years for something that’s never going to happen.
let’s get our pay raise now and get them again when we go for the JCBA.
If we vote no and recall the negotiating committee, then start from scratch negotiating We’re gonna be at it for months or even a year it’s gonna be time for the Jetblue pilot integration anyways.
