So let me get this straight….there are people who think that the Delta TIA is the pay standard, but that we should also keep all our QOL provisions? Even the “Alaska or better” mantra seems to fail to consider they have several work rules in their contract that most people I have talked to wouldn’t trade into to have their pay rates. To me, the snap up provision is the most important. We are not getting Delta, ever, much less their 22% retroactive pay.
If you want Delta rates, I’m afraid you’re going to have to wear a double breasted suit and a hat…..and kiss seniority and QOL buh-bye. If you’re under 40-ish, it’s a no brainer, maybe. But for the rest of us who are in it for the long haul, I hope we will be rational in our expectations and votes.
