It doesn’t matter what it any inspections are required. What matters is that a plane may not be dispatched unless it is going to be below the max landing weight at the point of landing. You cannot simply land above that weight for convenience and write it up upon arrival. Mechanical or medical diversion would be a different story.
mechanics did the overweight landing inspection last night in 15 minutes, All they did was pull a load 15 report and found that lateral and vertical acceleration at the moment of landing was within limits…. Then they signed it off….
brakes however, took 2 hours to cool to the point where we could taxi again at a station that had no brake fans
