There is no benefit, particularly in the short term.

If NK ends up in a real bad way, the bottom half of the list will jump ship before a merger ever gets hammered out. There’s just too many open jobs to stick around for a couple years and fight for the top 25% of the seniority list to get integration and fences and protection.

Sort of depends upon who merges with whom and what the joint CBA looks like…
