This is the “right move” when you’re stuck on making bad decisions.
Bankruptcy is the right move when you abuse and max out your credit cards
Rehab is the right move when you sell the car for drugs
Slowing down the operations is the right move when you can’t retain talent and invest in an operation that doesn’t collapse on a rain shower over south Florida

Clearly, we can't handle the flying we have now, so I don't know what you expect them to do going forward. They obviously didn't plan staffing correctly, and now it is biting them. At this point, we take our lumps and move on. The choice was this, or a meltdown every other week in the summer. I'll take this.
also they blame atc when in reality it’s crew shortages because they refuse to pay us industry average.

So upgrade numbers are still the same and we are scaling back 5% of flying but still doing more flying then ever before in the company’s history? Yet some on here act like it’s the end of the world. APC is such a dramatic bunch.
We are short staffed and could use something enticing to hire pilots. Pay increases aren’t coming…actually a smart proactive move IMO.

Interest Based Bargaining. Other Management/Union combos have used it to address the issues that need correcting. Usually gets more money to the pilots. That means more in the coffers at Herndon....
If neither party can figure out why new hires are leaving for United before they do one month of reserve.....well.
