We've been in a continuous IROP since 4/2 and the last communication about it from upper management was 4/3. Is it safe to say that this management team has thrown in the towel? Is it time to get the Board of Directors to step in or maybe get the FAA involved?

I highly doubt they have thrown in the towel, it just shows how incompetent they are. They have a responsibility to run the company as normal until the deal closes, because there are a lot of things that could cancel either one of these deals. Heads need to roll.

Yes. Incompetent is an understatement… I sincerely hope the strings of Ted and Bendo’s golden parachutes are snipped before either of these deals are done. They both need to go at this point.

Where is the MEC?!
So where is our “vote of no confidence” for this current management group? Maybe investors would be more keen at this point of time vs any other. Why do we continue to soft play management from the union side?

What do you expect the union to do, exactly?

At the very least, advise the pilots on the current state of the operations, what management is telling them, what we are asking from them, and what’s being implemented to try and fix this current issue. These are basic things you would expect from pilot leadership
If they want extra credit, they can use tools other airlines have done in their meltdowns including symbolic votes of no confidence (which we have never had under Ted). Just think about that.
They are our advocates and I don’t think they are advocating for the group right now

The MEC isn’t tasked with telling the company how to run their business, and that was never suggested. The MEC is tasked to ensure that pilots CAN talk to a scheduler when needed, CAN get a hotel when needed, remind management that IROP isn’t a word that applies to pilots and out CBA. The MEC CAN file class grievances for lack or notification for cancellations. Or how about accountability when pilots are getting rescheduled at hubs because schedulers are choosing to circumvent the assignment methodology outlined in the CBA. FAs are all being offered 200% for trips pickups. Is that something that was asked from management from pilots? Mentioned? Has the 200% to “fly your trip” been discussed since that seemed to save a larger meltdown in January? Management isn’t saying a word about what’s going on, I would at least like to know if the MEC is at least trying to find out
And if management is telling them nothing, that in itself is something that needs to be communicated to the pilots.
You really think this is simply management doing their job and the MEC just hanging back to enforce the CBA? My man, the contract is getting violated every few minutes.
