Nice point. We have CAs who don’t know how to reimburse a hotel, or simply won’t. Shouldn’t surprise anyone that FAs have no idea as well. Their “do nothing” union is a joke and only a disservice to the FAs

Well I didn't read their contract, but I asked 3 or 4 of them for a slightly larger sample size and got the same answer. My guess is the official interpretation of "Required to" is that they do indeed eventually get lodging, even though they sometimes sit at an airport for 12 hours before the phone call comes.

Or maybe the FAs are doing themselves a disservice by not getting more involved in the union?

Yep a union is only as good as it’s members. They signed their last terrible contract for a measly $4k. You get what you negotiate.

Also wasn't j Miller going to send out a message about the latest irops or is that only when it's over.. have we even been below 10% for the last week in cancellations ?

Ive been reassigned all 6 days I’ve shown up for work this month. Pairing last week actually ended with the letter “I”. The highest I’ve seen it go.

No doubt. Its an issue ive had with our own Spirit ALPA. Take the vacant Vice Chair/ FO Rep position. 2 FOs in LAS/DFW listed willing to serve and 1 is on the ballot. One guys running against "Write in". 350+ pilots qualified to run and 1 person on the ballot. This is a position that will help steer the pilot group through a merger/ISL/JCBA, and have a vote on any TA...1 person on the ballot.

Hah I didn't know the letter was the amount of revisions. I think I'm only up to D

Sad part is assuming the b6 merger happens , j Miller isn't going anywhere as nobody would want that job temporarily. Expect even less

J Miller is gone, so is everyone else at the FLL puzzle factory. You think JetBlue will offer a relocation package for Jeff Miller to run operations for JBLU? They are all done most likely. 👋

Sorry, I meant he isn't going anywhere until the final merge which means it's another 2 years of this bs.
