Making plans to move your residence to a new base is never wise until the crew lounge is completely finished.

Neither is running a displacement bid your software can’t handle.

Strange, DTW ORD LAS became junior and FLL became more senior for FOs in the latest what-If bid. Why would the company keep putting people in those bases if they plan to have the reduction bid?

I was under the impression that most of the reduction was to fill ATL. Clearly that’s no longer happening.

The airline owns 150ish airplanes that can mostly land themselves. Pretty cool technology. I don’t buy, that a technology flaw in bidding software, is unfixable by now. More to that story.

As the union has stated MULTIPLE times in emails that you have received MULTIPLE times, the company is forced to back-fill vacancies when FOs leave/upgrade. The company does not want to do this but is contractually obligated. I suggest reading Union communications in the future, it will answer a lot of your questions so you won't have to post them on APC for an anonymous stranger to answer.

They're contractually obligated to fill these spots until the displacement bid comes out again. All these poor new hires going to these bases will be wiped out.

Have you not noticed is crashes/lags every IOT drop? Everything is a super manual process because the software was built in the early 80s. SABRE essentially has a monopoly.

Can we also talk about how ridiculously long it takes for Flica to process things when DOT opens? I know there's a lot of requests when DOT first opens but modern 2022 computers should be able to bang through them pretty quickly. I submitted a couple trades 3 hours ago and still processing.

The first rule of first 24 hour DOT request lag is we don’t talk about first 24 hour DOT request lag.

Accept that no computer ever made can handle it, and never speak of this issue again.
