I filled out the entire page (Resume, name, hours, certificates, etc...) and when I clicked the "Submit Profile" button at the very bottom, the whole page just cleared and nothing seems to have happened. I tried a second time, this time connecting with my LinkedIn account and filling it all out again. The same thing happened. I then clicked the "Returning Candidate? Log back in" button, but I'm told the credentials I previously used (on the application page) are incorrect. So my understanding is that none of the information I previously entered has been used.

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue? Pretty frustrating. Thanks in advance.
I experienced this too. Pretty frustrating. I skipped using the google login and just used the email/password method. Worked just fine. App submitted, got a reply to schedule a phone interview the next morning.

FWIW they told us in the town hall yesterday they’re making an effort to call people within 2 days of applying.

And that they are going to find a way to get guys with less experience through training.

Since then I have not heard a peep. My application status says “Phone Interview”.

I assume this is is a TBNT but I was under the impression they would reach out to me regardless.

Anyone else experience this?

Thanks in advance!

Might be worth it to send an email. When I applied, the status changed on its own to phone interview scheduled and I hadn’t even gotten a phone call. I emailed them, and within a few minutes they called to schedule a phone interview. It’s very disorganized there and there’s a good chance they just didn’t update your app. I don’t think spirit has the ability to turn anyone away right now.

Default Spirit or Breeze

Just looking for perspective on whether breeze or Spirit would be a better option for an out-of-regional-training FO. Few personal variables are that Breeze would be a 1.5hr drive, Spirit a commute (hopefully a one leg to ATL). There are a lot of global differentiators like retirement, size, the JB merger, growth at Breeze, etc to consider but I want to make sure I’m not missing some big no-brainer perspective that will sway this decision, so let me have it. QOL, upgrade times, reserve length, career risk/reward etc. What says the hive mind?

Breeze is what Spirit was 18 years ago, and Spirit isn’t going to be Spirit for that much longer. There’s nothing wrong with driving to work to fly small planes and rolling the dice on getting in early, but there isn’t really any hidden factors or secrets.

new App all applicants need to download. This will be the only new requirement going forward.

I am still in training with Spirit, but I'll offer my opinion and also similar information that was told to me by others more senior and reiterate what many have said on other spirit forums.

My opinion: Breeze is still a new airline, experiencing growth, but an airline that small can only see growth at the moment right? Being able to not commute to work is a huge factor and I would keep Breeze in mind just for that reason. However, the only reason I would jump ship from a regional today for Breeze would just to be home based since most regionals' pay is really good for first years. To answer your question "Out-of-regional-training" you will most likely go from one regional type rating to a little bit bigger regional airliner (E190) until you could upgrade to the A220. I am not sure if they follow the seat lock thing like JetBlue.

What many have spoken to me and on this forum: Come to Spirit, get the A320 Type rating. If for any reason you are not satisfied, you at least have a competitive type rating that many other major airlines have on their certificate and will hire you.

In all, I would apply to Spirit sooner than later while Spirit's first year pay is low. If Spirit ever agrees on a TA with competitive pay, I am sure Spirit will receive a lot more applicants. It would be better to be in front of that line then to be stuck at a regional waiting for a call.

Ditto, kinda. He’s just shy of 1600 hours, ATP written but no ATP, did his phone interview, in person scheduled sometime in Dec. Solid dude with 135 jet time on top of having a pulse tho.
