I would say it depends on how competitive you are, if you’re a rockstar maybe just ask if you can attend. If you don’t meet the recommended times then a short sales pitch on yourself.

I wish it was that but it’s not from work. I’ve got plenty of sick time since I’ve been too much of a goody two-shoes pilot; I need to start using it soon.

I would keep it short, they have hundreds of requests to get through I'm sure. Just politely ask to attend, maybe a sentence or two on your background and a thank you for your time.

Interview email received this morning
I just heard back from talent acquisition asking me to attend an in person interview. You have to choose one of 3 dates. They referenced me attending the meet the chiefs event in ORD. So anyone that attended should hear something today I would guess. I will continue to update.

somewhat related info
Not saying "don't come here", just "know what you are signing up for". AA has 15K pilots, 11K will be gone in 2041, so based on current size 27% RS. At NK, 2.8K current pilots, and 1.8K WILL BE STILL THERE IN 2041, so 64% RS without growth (21 year upgrade). To get the same seniority we need to get 6700 pilots on the property, some growth will happen, but no guarantees, age 65 is a way safer bet. And you have to take WB into account, the reason UA, DL and AA have 3 year upgrades vs WN 11 years (what we will see at some point...), is that they have different fleets. You can sling gear once a month in the 777, or sit in the right seat on reserve into LGA 4 times a day. But still, 3 out of those 4 seats pay better than what we pay.
