I’m at 2400 TT with 875 TSIC. Besides continuing to build hours, any other recommendations to become competitive?

Only failure was a CFI initial back in 2016.
Probably stop building hours is better advice

ALPA Statement on Spirit and Frontier CEOs’ Barclays Fireside Chat
MCLEAN, Va.—Frontier Master Executive Council (MEC) chair Capt. Alan Christie and Spirit MEC chair Capt. Ryan Muller of the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l (ALPA) released the following statement in response to their respective chief executive officers’ comments at the 2022 Barclays Industrial Select Conference.
“In speaking about synergies of the proposed merger, we are pleased to hear that the Frontier and Spirit CEOs Barry Biffle and Ted Christie recognize the need for the merged pilots’ contract to be on par with the pilots who fly for the mainline carriers.
“Pilots have many career options. Spirit and Frontier pilots who are currently contemplating their career choices in this hot hiring market are pleased to know that our CEOs understand that pilot compensation needs to be in line with the top of the industry in order to attract quality pilot candidates, and that this will be critical to the success of our combined carrier.”

So we agree that ALPA purposely spun BB’s Delta comments? Glad we got an easy starting point for both sides.

Honestly what’s the point of ALPA coming out and saying this?

What you say can be used against you at a later time

BB says we make the same as Delta. Ok, let’s see how that holds up with mediation for the JCBA. Let’s see how that holds up with a mediator when it’s presented that upgrade is longer than at Delta. Let’s see how that holds up when ALPA presents a mediator the money difference a 20 year pilot at Spirit vs Delta will see

ALPA reps are playing the long game.

No different than in 2017 when Fornaro said Spirit is a “lower tier” airline as it relates to pilot compensation. We used that as “I’m not a low tier pilot”. It’s just how the game is played

Nah. I just choose not to bury my head in the sand and be willfully ignorant of the reality of the situation we are in. Both sides are guilty of fake news. Barry says, (paraphrasing) "Due to upgrade times, F9 pilots make just as much as Delta pilots." This is a laughable statement. Even with shorter upgrade times, which is appearing to not be true anymore, the only way you could maybe make more money here is if A) you do upgrade quickly and B) you have less than 20 years left in your flying career. And with all the"1500 hour wonders" (as you say) coming down the pipe, I'm going to go ahead and assume that most of them have way more than 20 years left and will be out of here as soon as the first legacy calls. I'm not working against anyone. All I'm against is a false narrative....from ANYONE.
