I wouldn’t say that necessarily as it’s a very diverse part of the state but many folks from all backgrounds not interested in learning English. I’ve met adults born in Miami and are American citizens that cannot speak a word of English.

Im thankful for the opportunity regardless. Spirit offers a lot that excites me.

Hey, keep us updated on how it goes. I know there are a lot of pilots on here with relatively the same flight experience as you, including myself! Using you as a baseline thanks!

Apologies if it was already mentioned, what’s training pay and monthly guarantee?

Well, this can be hard to lock down do to so many variables, however things are trending to 9-12 months at all domiciles, possibly longer. If training/hiring picks up and attrition slows down, things should get better.

big if right now. Captain upgrades have slowed from 32 planned to 10. Slower upgrades means less movement at the top of the FO list. The movement we are seeing is from jr FO’s (many on reserve) which produces less upward movement. The days of a line out of training has sailed.

So yeah, exactly what I said. I never said anything about a line out of training and mentioned that we would need to increase training/reduce attrition to get the timeframe down. Honestly I think all bases are trending closer to a year at this point, so we shall see. Didn't the reduction to upgrades have a time frame attached to it? I dont think that was a permanent move, however that too is subject to change if we can fix the attrition issue.
