One lovely Sunday afternoon Dualinput is driving down the road with Meep in the passengers seat. Next thing you know someone cuts him off.
dualinput then screems out loud “Who the heck is this Jack*ss that cut me off?”
Meep knows not to actually get out of the car chase down the guy who did it. (It was CLE to IAH btw) because Meep knows it’s just an expression.

Hi everyone. I am wondering how likely I have a chance to join Spirit without 121 experience. I have about 700 hours jet time as a SIC now, and was offered to upgrade for captain position. In 12-18 month I should be at 2000 - 2500 TT with roughly 500-700 hrs CA jet time. I like what pilots say about Spirit and how company operate and treat their employees. I would like to join and stay at Spirit till retirement. Loking for an advice from current pilots who work at Spirit. How many pilots were hired from 135 opps? I need to make a decidion eather join regionals, what all we know is not a fun place to be at, or go for a CA upgrade with my curren 135 gig. What are the chanses to be hired at Spirit skipping the regionals?

I’ve got a similar but slightly different situation. Like NIKAN, I’ve heard great things from Spirit pilots, and I hope to make it my retirement airline; I just passed 1,500 hours, and a bit over 400 of them are jet. Don’t have the ATP yet.
Because of Argus, my current company can’t make me PIC until 3,000 hours. They might let me get the ATP at my recurrent, they might not. I have a possible opportunity with a place where I can get the ATP and keep building jet time, but I definitely won’t become PIC for years.
I have several of Spirit’s preferred items, including EFIS/FMS/EICAS experience, Instructor experience, and a bachelors’ degree.
As my total experience grows, would “no turbine PIC” make it difficult to get an interview with Spirit, considering all my crew/jet time will be 135 and/or 91k?
Thank you all!
