Sorry to hear that, but don’t fret it with the way the pilot market is right now... Any idea what happened? I’m not sure it applies to you, but if they get even the tiniest inclination that you’re not planning to hang your (nonexistent) hat up here then that’s usually all it takes.

Not a bad thing necessarily. New opportunities for those who leave and faster seniority growth and more leverage for those that stay behind. The RLA and the pilot surplus long favored management. That’s now shifting. Good luck to you and to them.

We have seen that for several years at the LCC. There is a slot they are looking for, it appears. Above that, they seem to be concerned pilots will jump ship to the big 6 in short order.

I have around: 2400TT, 1150 ME, 875 TPIC, 3 Type ratings 2 Jet 1 Turboprop. I do recurrent on each every year no failures. Currently FO at WO regional but only 225 SIC 121 time. Here is where I had my only unsat during LOE. Completely ridiculous but that’s another story.
Meet with Chief went well. He took notes and wrote them on my resume as we went along. I explained I’m over 40 years old now and looking for a career destination and was not looking for a type rating and move to a legacy. Talked about the LOE failure and was told it wasn’t a big deal and wanted to make sure no other primary flight instruction failure. Opened up for any questions and filled out a paper on total time details.
My guess is low 121 total time is where I came up short but that’s pure speculation on my part. I met every one of their qualifications and got the invite to MTC so who knows?
