Tragic! I've heard quite a few of our "healthy and fit" pilots speak about how hard this variant has been on them and their friends. Last one I spoke with said it took him a solid week just to be able to get out of bed and another 2 weeks to get back to something semi-normal.

All he’s saying is the illness is worse for some people than the 3 day cold that others get. Even seemingly healthy people that you’d think would be low risk get hit hard. I know a guy that is probably 200 lbs overweight and smokes cigars that got it and basically kicked it in a day. Then you hear of healthy and fit people dying from it. I didn’t see it as trying to win points in an argument.

You didn’t say anything wrong or disrespectful. This is literally a discussion about an impending mandate to make people get vaccinated. This should be talked about and it should be a reminder to everyone that nobody is immune and vaccination still remains our best protection against this virus.

The first 3/4 of this thread make me very worried about the future of this company and our country. When even rational clear thinking and responsible people can’t believe the most basic information we are doomed. You guys are so far down a rabbit hole and don’t even know it.

And, btw, my primary source of information is the medical professional I’m married to, and her colleagues. Try to be less incurious, and perhaps assume less as well.
