More than likely what’s going on is carriers are gathering data on vaccinations to negotiate insurance premiums before open enrollment. Once they have the agreed upon numbers $ will dictate negotiations with Alpa. That way your not guessing on costs in those negotiations. Everyone has different language handcuffing managements ability to raise insurance premium costs as well as covered benefits so not every policy will look the same.

And how many people will get it via the mandate while this thing makes it way through the court system?

And I don’t think it gets tossed, my opinion

If the company wants to offer an incentive to get people onboard with the vax then that's fine, but that is a scenario other than the federal government forcing this on everyone which gives us zero leverage. Also if this becomes an issue in the Caribbean and SA, then that's means we are doing a substantial number of layovers down there, and in that case it is their house their rules which is just part of this business. But I hardly doubt any foreign government harbors much concern over foreign pilots doing turns and never leaving the airplane.

Myocarditis study in pfizer and moderna shows incidence is 1 in 1,000. Median age 33.

https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1....13.21262182v1
https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1...182v1.full.pdf

There were 15,997 doses of Moderna vaccine, and 16,382 doses of Pfizer vaccine administered over the
study period, for a total of 32,379 doses. Note that these numbers represent a mixture of first and
second doses. Therefore, if our cohort captured all cases in the Ottawa area, then the incidence of
myocarditis would be 0.1% of all vaccine doses (32 cases/32,379 doses x 100), or 10 cases of myocarditis
for every 10,000 doses of vaccine.

"There was no difference in 5-year survival rate between the myocarditis and idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy groups (56% vs. 54%, respectively). "

5 year survival rate of about 50%. Will Spirit cover your living expenses when you lose your medical?

It’ll get fast tracked, and will likely have 30 days or something as a deadline.

Spirit might even even offer some money. Or some of Uncle Sugar’s money anyway.

Has any vaccine ever had long term side effects that don’t manifest themselves in the very short term. Meaning, having data over the next five years most likely won’t change what we already know about covid vaccine side effects.

The question about spirit being on the hook for earnings should you lose your medical from a vaccine they mandate is a good one.

Although long term side effects from covid concerned me more with my medical which is why I got the vaccine. The FAA is already making pilots jump through hoops if they were hospitalized with covid.

What vaccine has side effects that manifest year(s) after it was taken? Think you are going to grow a third arm or something?

I don't think it will get tossed either after all Delta already mandates the yellow fever vaccine and people are lining up to get hired there, but what I have learned is there should be a lot less competition for Delta as it seems a lot of pilots are against mandatory vaccines.

F9 requires news hire to be vaccinated.

I was offered the CJO and told I must show proof before beginning class. CLE-IAH might chime in with a troll alert. No bait. Get jabbed or no job at F9.
