Ski/snowboard equipment on OAL
Anyone been charged the bag fee for ski and snowboard equipment when Jumpseating offline? Specifically delta or jetblue. Most airlines seem to outline this equipment as a standard checked bag according to their bag policies I’ve found.
So I guess the question is has anyone been charged for a checked bag when jumpseating offline. I know we allow jumpseaters a free checked bag and surprisingly even spirit lumps ski and snowboard equipment in with a standard bag as long as it’s not over 40lbs
Surfboard- get ready to get bent by just about everyone.

I pack my ski bag and boot bag full of skis and clothes, and I haven't had any issues on Delta, Southwest, or Frontier. One free checked bag usually includes a ski bag and boot bag. Not sure about jetBlue's policy though.
