321 rates are going to be like 767 rates then, right?

They changed the vacancy. Openings in every base now.

It’s a career airline that’s the next Southwest. Ted and Bendo said so verbatim on the last town hall on Feb 9.

attrition means nothing as ATP flight schools have a solid pathway to Spirit aka the next southwest. Let the weak leave as the pipeline is full of 1500 hour ATP flight school cfi’s who will occupy the right seat of an NK 320. And in all honesty, they will leave spirit for a legacy at the first chance they get.

Hopefully there is a training contract clause with the ATP flight schools to keep them at spirit for many years to recoup the investment costs before they can leave to a legacy.

Then they wouldn’t come to NK. They’d just go to a regional until they get enough turbine time and bounce. The only hope is to show them why they should choose to stay.

Regionals are doomed. The ones exclusively flying 50 seaters will go first, but even the others…
You can’t get your FOs enough experience to upgrade without CAs, and you can’t keep CAs at regional pay scales.
Just look at what they are offering for regional DECs.

Of course, I think NK is going for the regional FOs that will be stranded when they have no more CAs to gain hours with. That’ll work too.

with the bonus structures built into the first couple years at a regional they would probably do better financially there than at spirit
