Maybe the ORD announcement makes sense now? No doubt it was poorly executed like most airline management moves (I’m sure this merger will be no different) but it looks like they were working behind the scenes to better align the operations a tiny bit. In fact, it seems like both managements have been coordinating this for some time now with some of their recent decisions.

How big was F9’s ORD base?

If it was to streamline, then why not close F9’s MCO or LAS base?

They only averaged 8-9 departures a day. It was not big.

Because those are HUGE leisure destinations for both carriers. They’ll be primed to at least maintain those or eventually grow them if anything. Lotsa potential in both Vegas and Orlando….
