This is what I was referring too.. has nothing to do with paper money. To the other post- yes, I don’t know what I’m talking about. Creating more money out of thin air, supply chain issues, spending free money on anything but your mortgage has plenty to do with inflation.

Pretty big difference between "there's now 5 times as much money as 2 years ago" and "there's now 66% more money than 2 years ago", hence the quiz.

Not true, why would using your personal purchased phone with the monthly bill paid by the company make any person a monumental moron? Again you can’t compare any 91/135 to another without knowing ALL the details.

if you find some corporate outfit will pay your personal phone bill and think that’s some grand perk then have at it. It’s a rounding error at any respectable pilot pay scale.

Thanks for the responses. Yes it’s a good 91 gig. Local Fortune 500 company that just got into aviation three years ago and has two planes now. I’ve been 91 my whole career, some with a smattering of 135 sprinkled in. I haven’t paid a phone bill ever, since I got my first company phone in 2000, it’s standard in 91/135 as is paying for your medical.
I’m an empty nester and if I can leverage my career into a higher pay bracket for my last decade and/or enhance my QOL, I’m definitely interested. One of my alternative reality plans is to get on with Spirit/Southwest/Jet Blue and be based in MCO. I would commute for five years and then buy a condo overlooking the Atlantic and be home based for my last five years. We’ll see what happens as the market continues to tighten up. Great time to be a pilot and dream big!
