Now here's the most important question: how much do you hate the 737 after flying the 320?

Flight Deck is antiquated for sure. But at the same time I know exactly what the plane is going to do since it's all manual lol.
DEFINITELY busiest seat in the company across all fleets. Don't have a proper table for meal service 😉
BUT... Right now much better choice of schedules and overnights due to sheer number of 737 vs 320 airframes (which will be changing in the next few years).
Bus is nicer, more comfortable plane to fly. No question about it. Right now QOL is better on 737.

QOL is MUCH better as a line holding WB FO (hence why NB CA slots are being offered in indoc).

Gave up on the QOL argument and went straight to the yEa BuT yOu HaVe To FlY a 737 argument. Weak sauce. You really can't wrap your head around the fact that guys at legacies are happy and actually not miserable can you?

But seriously lets stop with the BS that only NK pilots get days off and anyone not at NK is misserable and wants to slam their head against the wall on the daily wishing they were at NK.
You seem to be having trouble understanding context. The guy i was replying to said EVERYBODY should leave NK to chase WB and $$$, regardless of where they live or senority, even if the merger goes through. A rediculous statement. Believe it or not, there are plenty of pilots for whom moving to a legacy will never give them more time with their children than they have now.

This is my struggle. I will never be as senior as I am now if I leave which means my QOL will never be as good.

However, if the merger doesn’t go through and we file bankruptcy, and/or shrink to profitability, or change trip mix my QOL will suffer greatly as well due to force reductions (backwards seniority movement) and major changes to trip mix from pulling out of many makets(current contract does not protect trip mix).

Also include the fact that we will never make more money. Frontier and Allegiant are never getting more money. Never. We will be the same because there will be no way to grow with this business model. So we will shrink and maintain kind of like Allegiant. How does that look at the top of the seniority list? Anyone’s guess for QOL but more money will never happen as inflation eats you up until retirement.

Bankruptcy contract? That’s when we get to see how weak or strong we are as a group. More money will never happen regardless Of bankruptcy filling but less money is the unknown.

I think your assumption that Legacy carriers are only sunshine and handys from this point out is far from logical and historical.

You remain a ball of stress.

Youre right about that. We’ve all watched their ups and downs and being on the bottom carries a lot of risk.

What’s your opinion of things if the merger is not approved? My guess is if we stave off bankruptcy we will shrink a ton (backward seniority) with massive attrition and languish in mediocrity like Allegiant forever.
