I actually prefer offline DHing on AA for this exact reason. Over the summer I had a front end DH on AA, and I was so late that I got pulled off of a 3 day trip and found my own way home without even operating a single flight.

I just flew a 4 day and we were late every leg. But, I’ve never had to wait for a ramp crew or gate agent in 6 months on the line.

Y'all also taxi extremely slow from what I've noticed. Maybe they have more time to get in place when aircraft are rolling in at 5 knots.

Out there in the big D they can probably sit on the ramp and have a picnic lunch in the time it takes some of your CAs to approach the gate after coming over the bridge.

What’s your rush? Block or better per leg is nice I’ve heard.

Beating other aircraft to the gate in FLL to avoid waiting 20-30 minutes, while not getting paid, to deplane for customs

Otherwise if we had block or better per leg (coming in 2024), and could leave right after setting the parking brake, then yes I would feel differently.

Can’t really blame them for taxiing slow then!

Amazing how much better the operation is at AA than spirit. As someone said you never wait for rampers to come strolling out, or not come out at all. Same with gate agents.
