I fear our growth plans (fleet of 293ish by ‘27) are a bit optimistic if they can’t stymie the attrition. Our Year 12 rates are on pair with the legacies, but they’re going to have to ‘bring up the middle’ to keep people.
They need to bring up the low end of the scale too. It is very easy to leave when you get an immediate significant pay raise just for being in training at United.

I’m afraid to ask how many are interviewing this week. I know plenty of FOs and a captain that all have interviews lined up with ‘a certain legacy’ over Jan/Feb and the other two legacies Jan-Mar, so it wouldn’t surprise me.

There’s rumors over @ F9 about a MOU in the works that would allow the company to increase first year pay to 98% or 2nd year pay. While that would be a welcome improvement and make the company more attractive to regional captains, I don’t think that’s necessarily going to stop the churn for Year 1-4 (and realistically, everyone else on the bottom 60% of the list) from leaving to a legacy. The pay needs to be at least commensurate to legacy narrowbody pay at all years and both seats.

The legacies have several airframes over several bases. If you're not happy with growth with one combo you can move to another. We need more than legacy narrow body pay because we only have one airframe and 7 bases. We have limited flexibility with options and a best case of narrowbody pay. We need to set the bar a little flipping higher.

Hope SPAMEC doesn’t give in to any MOU.

The “Spirit is better then a regional” argument isn’t working anymore. Who would have guessed.

with an attitude like that the spirit group will never make gains contractually. Shortage is here. Don’t strive to be the lowest. Recognize the short falls and don’t keep saying how this place is “Atleast better then a regional.” MAKE it BETTER then a LEGACY
