I’m not gonna fault the MEC for letting the group vote on the TA. The slogans with “bites of the apple” and other sell tactics are cringe worthy. I’ve moved on, it’s in the past, nobody has a crystal ball.

My favorite was the guy telling us to let Delta guys they need to step their game up. What a joke.

That's not how I see it, but to each their own. Thankfully JBU's pilot group is larger than us so the fear porn is going to be a much tougher sell when it comes time for a JCBA, finally putting people like yourself in the minority.

I'm sure there will be lots of talk about recalling the NC after the merger, but it will never be anything more than keyboard warriors beating their chest while prepping to vote yes to whatever is presented the first time around.

People that understand than reasonable people can disagree is not a good minority.

reasonable people can disagree. I voted no. I’m not as upset about the TA passing, but to each their own

If you think they would still be filling classes at $60/hr first year pay and then transition to the old pay scale I don’t know what to tell you. Getting everything that kicks in 01/24 right up front would have at least been better than the TA. The TA passed and I’ve made my peace with that, but this lingering sentiment that we might have gotten nothing at all is proof that scare tactics work.

I’ve never disputed any of those things, except for the one about a guarantee that if we just vote no we would have gotten more. How much more? What’s your crystal ball say.

By that logic, no pilot group in negotiations should ever turn down the first offer from management because there is no guarantee they would get more and a slight chance they will get nothing.
That’s a bold negotiation strategy…

I voted No, knowing there was risk that we wouldn’t get anything else. Obviously thought it was a worthwhile risk, yes I think we would have gotten a little more, but I’m not certain and neither are you. I don’t fault the MEC for letting us vote on it, and I don’t fault the pilot group for passing it.
