It doesn’t matter that much, but it’s a slight factor of annoyance to me. I’ve had awkward moments with people that have strong opinions about their dislike for spirit. Do I care that much? No, but it’s still annoying. It factors in with everyone, even if it’s very very small.

I’m not one to pay attention to what people think. Hence why I didn’t engage in the conversation. But having to explain why NK is a good place to be at versus my former regional is tiresome. I’m genuinely happy here and love what I do and who I do it for, but yes that convo is tiring.

On a different note, I have ran into people who genuinely like our product so there’s that lol

I use this as a teaching moment for strangers and family.
when I am driving around in my Lambo and a dude pulls up next to me in his Mustang and asks “What do you do for a living?” I proudly say I am a pilot for Spirit and then see their jaw drop.
Or when I am eating dinner with my Brother and his family and his wife ask is that a Rollie on your wrist? I say yeah I bought that with my last paycheck. And she has a envious look on her face because he is just an accountant who make mediocre pay.

The median household annual income in this country is about $78K.
NK CA at 12 year pay is making $300 an hour even now, Toss in DC and that’s over $1 million every three years. That’s 96th percentile HOUSEHOLD income and by that time the 401k and investments are probably adding another $50-100K to the mix annually putting them in the 97th percentile - higher with a working spouse. And that’s with a JCBA coming up.
Let them laugh all they want.
