TBH, im surprised that many people over 6 years bailed. Unless your going from commuting to living in base, which is priceless imo, it doesn't make a huge difference financially at that point.

At that longevity I understand the the jump to maybe FedEx or UPS. But just jumping to a legacy makes no sense. Same job with just a bit more pay and similar QOL.

I suspect a lot left because they were forced to commute. They’ll get their seniority back around the 5 year mark at a legacy.

Sure if the world continues to hum along without a recession, war or literally anything else that affects leisure/business travel negatively… cause that never happens.

Top 40% seniority in company and making 300k/year would be pretty tough to walk away from in one of the most volatile industries there is.

But hey whatever gets your motor runnin I guess.

Junior FedEx guys are looking at going to delta. Go look at their forum. Things slowed there. Deltas contract ends at $383 for A321 $396 for 321NEO with way faster narrowbody seniority progression, faster upgrades, better sick and vacation, way better profit sharing expected to add probably 10-20% additional compensation on top of already much higher rates. Not just “a bit” more pay I don’t think, and with faster relative seniority on NBs and a better contract, likely better QOL too.

But we still have 2 bites at the apple coming up in a very short amount of time… I think was what I was told. We’ll get them then

My thought was why doesn’t he go to delta then? Seems like he has much disdain for both JBLU and NK.

Yeah but they need it for all of their large and in charge girlfriends in the ATL. Them girls love to eat and food is expensive these days.
