This! Any talks about raising training and first year pay? Spirit probably is better than all the regionals but those crappy regionals are now paying $100k year 1 and you all are saying you’re hurting for FOs, etc etc.

Nope, hasn’t been discussed at all. You reckon that’ll work?

Please elaborate further on you’re seemingly snarky post. You have a problem with me as a potential applicant not wanting to come to your airline because I have self respect and know what I’m worth and my regional paid me full guarantee during training which was a lot more than Spirit? Like the other poster said I’m not thrilled with taking a pay cut. It’s called handling my finances like an adult.

Anyone actually willing to answer my question or are these responses indicative of the personalities of the pilot group at Spirit? If so I can’t imagine why the FOs are leaving in droves. I’m sorry if it’s been discussed on here before and I hadn’t read a thousand posts to find it.

Thank you for the response. While I might be willing to swallow first year pay, it seems to me that just giving min guarantee to pilots in training could be a simple step in helping make Spirit attractive to new hires. Is that even on the table prior to reaching an AIP?
