The sequence of events previously described sounded like a flight could get delayed or cancelled. For instance, let’s say during a flight from LAS to SAN turn, the FO says he has a class date with XX airline. Does the check airman stop the training when they get to SAN? If he did then the next flight would be delayed or cancelled. Somewhere down the line something would be affected, unless they waited until the trip was over to pull him off IOE.
Imo they’d be more likely to discontinue training when they can practically swap the fo with someone else. Not at the first instance they caught wind they were leaving.

I know you’re just a few months out of being a regional pilot, but why don’t you calm down, call your union rep, and ask them nicely to explain to you how negotiations work.
