Meltdown shmeltdown…. Our new pairing construction gives the airline super powers against natural disaster disruptions…. Once the entire airline is based in Florida, we will be invincible!

The tricky part is, they can only go so high on the pay due to the merger. If JB has an agreement to buy us for X amount of dollars then the the pay raise can’t bring the price of the company to Y dollars.
This will be interesting. Not sure how this will play out, but I’m hopeful as well.

Hate to break it to you but we are viewed same as fuel, a cost. Has nothing to do with the price JB is paying. Same as if fuel went up 50%

You've just ruined Thanksgiving off for six Interns in two FTD's, two Interns on the PowerPoint, and one to write the Read File. I'm afraid to charge up my iPad and sync my company email.

JB agreed to pay a certain amount at the current labor cost. If we go to Alaska +1 or whatever it might be, JB no has to pay that the increased labor cost.
Imagine agreeing to buy something for $20 then you go pick it up and they say that it’s now $30. Kinda of the same concept.
It’s the same reason F9 got a pay raise after the merger fell through. They couldn’t increase any labor costs because they were in talks with us. That came right out of HRs mouth to me.
Like I said, it’ll be interesting how far they’ll go. I’m sure JB is aware of the situation and knows the labor cost will go up. We’ll see how this plays out.
