hope everyone votes this way. I’m a new hire so I can’t vote my opinion. But came to spirit with intentions of staying long term. When Alpa spoke with our class it was “we’re working on a quick fix for pay and then long term joint contract with JB” “quick fix pay?” What if spirit pilots are offered jet blue rates today? Yes better (mostly for new hires) but it’s still old rates and less than industry standard. Plus that “quick fix pay” to stop attrition is going to suck when/ if this merger dosent actually get approved by the DOJ. Even if it does the chance of them completing it early 2024 is a pipe dream.

Almost…
That may also be the reason management is slow-rolling this.

If the Jet Blue deal goes south, F9 is still waiting in the wings to scoop NK up. And management could probably go right back to their old sweetheart deals with Franke and company. I’d almost be willing to settle for Jet Blue rates just to keep that from happening, because that may well be a better deal than you’d get on a JCBA with .
How’s that POS airline you work at? You guys planning on being profitable any time soon?

jetBlue FO rates would be nearly 25% increase for most mid level FO’s. Include a clause that whatever gains jetBlue gets in their current negotiations we get also. Also that if the merger fails we immediately go back to the table.

Pay is black on white. If they want to scratch out the pay table and put Alaska+ in it’s place it takes one meeting. Don’t tell me a “quick” deal should mean less pay. Pay is not nuanced taking multiple meetings to negotiate language.
