Attrition

I still think it's a good topic of discussion. The non-rev guide says it's required or you risk losing your pass privileges... I want that language removed, and it will require pushback to do it.
Second, we still have some doing some cleaning, some of the time, and as I said, I think that's a terrible idea in every circumstance, in every way.
Just say NO.

So yes, we should be talking about this...
Now, on commutes I would say currently 95.3% of pilots don't, but that number should be 100%, all the time, every time.

Yes, I believe the term is "expected", which isn't exactly definitive, but it also says you risk losing your pass privileges if you don't clean.

The best part is on the JFK flights, watching all the non-revs jam the aisle cleaning front to back while the customers in the back half of the plane are still trying to get off. Total clown show. Of course nobody does a study with a stopwatch to see how much that costs us in turn time.

Basically JB doesn't want to pay cleaners on turns. So they make the flight attendants do it. And then require non-revs to help the FA's. And call all of that "culture".

Yep, this part of the airline is very broken. Hopefully that part of the "culture" will die forever during the integration of NK, but I can guarantee you without any doubt there is someone in a cubicle in NYC right now who's job it is to draw up a plan to get you guys to clean planes... Hopefully they end up throwing that plan in the garbage before it's attempted to be implemented.

Very excited for the JetBlue purchase and looking forward to drinking coffee out of a mug again on a transcon red-eye!

95.3% of Blue pilots don't clean on commutes, and I have seen no evidence of consequences, yet.
Most important thing you guys can do is just 100% flat out don't do it.

On the times I've non-rev'd on jetBlue I ask the FAs if they need any help and they always say nah, don't worry about it.
But yea, as a former FA myself it's completely unacceptable. It's bad enough FAs (except Delta) don't get paid for boarding, and then these people have to play janitor as well. Absolute garbage.
