Spirit Pilots,

With the JetBlue merger full speed ahead it’s time to checkout this awesome cleaning tool belt that fits comfortably in your kit bag or overnight bag.

Very convienate and can hold a sponge, towels, and your favorite cleaning supplies.

Once the parking checklist is complete, or your dead head is done, just put on this easy-to-use belt and you are ready to get to cleaning! With this simple state-of-art design even an FO can use it.

recent studies have shown that this product will give you a 16% greater chance of receiving a water bottle from a flight attendant versus the leading brand.

You could probably even wear it and the off color oversized north face jacket will cover it up.

My other point and perhaps heads up is we (Spirit) have arbitrarily just been assigned an additional duty on average adding 20-60 minutes to our duty day, with no pushback from our Union reps, that I am aware of, that involves the deplaning time period.

Someone also pointed out how the Spirit policy is certainly flawed in that boarding the passengers does not require a pilot to supervise.
Call me jaded, but this policy isn't about safety or our "guest experience", it's to keep us at the airport longer so they have a longer window to reschedule us.

It should seem obvious, but cleaning an aircraft, ever, will set the wrong precedent or at a minimum, the wrong expectation.

If I never see it happen again, it will be too soon.

Nancy Reagan had it right, just say NO.

Why are we still talking about cleaning planes when nobody does it?

I still think it's a good topic of discussion. The non-rev guide says it's required or you risk losing your pass privileges... I want that language removed, and it will require pushback to do it.

Second, we still have some doing some cleaning, some of the time, and as I said, I think that's a terrible idea in every circumstance, in every way.

Just say NO.
