The important part is the fact the hired almost 98 pilots and the net is only 34, they only kept 1/3 of their new hires. I believe this is the worst attrition/hire percentage of the year. You can’t hire your way out of this when you manage to get 100 to show up to class and you end the month with barely enough FOs to staff 2 planes, when we are getting 12 this quarter alone and still aren’t up to full
Utilization with the fleet we have
AND still a displacement coming which will have people looking for a move.

If you're not looking at the Alaska TA please step back from the voting booth.

Ted's getting his lunch eaten. Every day that goes by, there are more and more announcements of airlines adding service on routes we used to serve. Im not so sure Ted will ever see a profitable quarter again at this company without fixing utilization. There's only one way to fix utilization.

I used an inflation calculator etc., etc., and tried to make a reasonable what I actually thought we could get and added 10% to come up with the answer to the survey question - what is my minimum? My proposed minimum rates came out better than Alaska's by a fair amount.
What I meant was when I saw how much Breeze, whom I do not consider a competitor, got for their rates - I feel like I should have said my minimal acceptable on the survey was higher.
