I personally don’t care who guessed closest without going over to win the showcase, I’m just telling the last guy to get his facts straight on who said what.

Did you not come and stay here because it was better than your last gig? If not then why DID you come?
Your narrative is tired. Not one FO I’ve ever flown with has ever said anything along the lines of ‘oh I love it here so much I don’t wanna make more, because I came from less’
They are NOT mutually exclusive .you can really enjoy working here AND want/expect more. The fact is you came here making less than your are
today.. and then because you wanna fire people up, you throw shade at people for doing exactly what you did , and continue to do so by showing up for work everyday.
it really irks people like you that many of us like working here. And it is indeed much better than any of my previous jobs. And for many of us who experienced the 2000s this job has given us a QOL of pay we couldn’t dream while we clawing our way up. It’s about perspective.
Due to the macro Environment, attrition, and
upcoming merger. Spirit will pay more. Period. The union email even states the company has agreed to expedited negotiations. That says a lot.
But your narrative that we are malnourished indentured slaves is So dumb. This is a good job that needs too and will pay more. Fight for more or leave. Period. But its more than ok for
people to come here AND enjoy it …even if
That doesn’t make you happy

I can count on more fingers than I have in the last couple months guys I’ve flown with that say “well I came here for QOL”. Yet have never even cracked open section 25 of our current contract. No degree or worked at a foreign carrier for peanuts or 36th st.

This right here.
Same people who went to MAJORS that paid 30 some bucks an hour are the same people that took Regional jobs at 10 some bucks an hour then want to turn around and tell someone that is happy to be out from under the ****ty umbrella of regional life that they are wrong. Laughable. Their acceptance of ****ty pay and treatment perpetuated the whip saw. When the next generation looked at pay and said EFF that is when change actually happened, the 1500 hour rule was just coincidental to that.
There is no QoL at NK, the same guys who took the 30 some bucks an hour sold out all the QoL rules for an absolute chump change contract. Unfortunately I expect that tradition to continue with the last negotiating update email the company is seeking - "administrative changes to the processing of certain premium flying, changes to certain management pilot provisions, and scheduling modifications to improve reserve staffing requirements." so we'll probably take a big giant L on more quality of life and premium pay for another chump change contract.
If your not talking 2XX and 3XX pay rates your head is stuck in the orifice between your legs.
/rant over, sorry for hurting any substandard contract yes voting boomer's feelings

I agree with everything you said except the thing about the next generation deciding that the pay was too low (it was too low) and saying EFF that. The pay was raised because of supply and demand. That’s it, it wasn’t because younger generations decided that they wouldn’t accept low pay.

The ones who decided not to become pilots at all are what is responsible for your and my good fortune. Not the actual pilots, we just had foresight and luck.

lol. I’m not “representing” anything, it’s a username. Take credit all you want for the pay raises, just don’t break your arm patting yourself on the back.
